VOLTTECH / RECORDED APPROVAL
Repair Authorisation
VoltTech uses recorded approval so customers remain in control of diagnostic, repair and maintenance costs.
Initial assessment
Where preparing a diagnostic assessment or estimate itself has a charge, VoltTech will disclose that charge before performing the chargeable assessment and obtain the customer's approval. An assessment may identify further work requiring a separate quotation.
Authorising work
Accepting a VoltTech repair quotation authorises only the work and charges listed on that quotation. The account system records the quotation and approval information associated with the transaction.
Additional work
If further problems are discovered, VoltTech will explain the additional work and estimated charge and obtain further recorded approval before proceeding where required. A revised or additional quotation may be issued so the new scope is clear.
Declining additional work
A customer may decline additional work. Any already-authorised diagnostic or completed work remains payable according to the agreed scope and applicable law.
Data and passwords
Repair work can involve storage devices, operating systems and personal files. VoltTech will only request access reasonably needed for the service and customers should back up important information where reasonably possible.
These pages provide customer-facing information about VoltTech's current processes and policies. Applicable South African law prevails where a statutory right or obligation cannot lawfully be excluded or changed by policy wording.
